With just a few simple ingredients and minimal prep time, you can have a satisfying meal on the table in no time.

Ready to discover the components of a memorable meatloaf? It all starts with ground meat, I used 95% lean ground beef to keep the WW points down.

To hold everything together, I used Italian breadcrumbs as a binder.

Flavor boosters include finely diced onions and garlic.

To help give this meatloaf its mouthwatering taste I added Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

Plus, an egg for moisture ensures your loaf is far from dry. Armed with these ingredients, you’re set to create a classic meatloaf that’s full of flavor.

Making a Classic Meatloaf recipe: Let’s get cooking! Warm up your oven to 350°F.

Add the Italian breadcrumbs, egg, skim milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to a mixing bowl.

I like to mix these ingredients before adding the ground beef. You don’t want to overmix your meatloaf or it will become tough.

Once everything is mixed, mix in the ground beef. I find it easiest to use my hands, but you can use a spoon.

I lined my baking sheet with a silicone mat and shaped the meat mixture into a loaf.

Adorn your loaf with a layer of sugar free BBQ sauce or sugar free ketchup, whichever you prefer. I like my meatloaf plain, so I skipped that step.

Into the oven it goes for 45-50 minutes, or until it reaches an inside temperature of 160°F.

Serving Suggestions:

One thing I love about meatloaf is it pretty much goes with everything!

I think the ultimate classic side is a dollop of mashed potatoes.

You can add a pop of color and crunch with a bright side of steamed veggies or a crisp green salad.

Roasted carrots or butternut squash are a great option too.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 95% lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sugar free BBQ sauce or sugar free Ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Add the Italian breadcrumbs, egg, skim milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to a mixing bowl. Mix everything together before adding the ground beef.

  3. Add the ground beef but be sure not to overmix it. That will make the meatloaf tough.

  4. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat and shape the meat into a loaf.

  5. Brush the top of the loaf with sugar free BBQ sauce or sugar free ketchup.

  6. Bake 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
